"...We awoke that morning to find our boiler which was in all fairness was 20 plus years old was not working and the house was a little on the chilly side. Confidently I picked up the phone and called British Gas with who we had a service agreement. The engineer duly arrived and commenced work. Half an hour later he came downstairs to tell me that the boiler had a gas leak and the pipe it was leaking from was obsolete which also rendered our boiler obsolete so he had no alternative but to cap off the gas supply and leave us without any form of heating or hot water. It was just two weeks before Christmas so immediately I began to panic. The British Gas engineer reassured me and said that I would receive a phone call from one of their agents to arrange a quote for a replacement boiler. The phone call was duly received and to my dismay I was offered an appointment in mid-January! This as you can imagine was totally unacceptable.

 

We were in the process of arranging some building work to be done at the home so I telephoned the Building Contractor in question and he said “I have just the man who will help you”. A few minutes later he called back and said Mark Dawson will call you shortly. Within a few minutes Mark phoned to say he would pop round once he had finished work for the day. Mark arrived around 8pm and looked at the boiler location to see what work was involved in replacing the boiler. He totally appreciated our predicament and said he would do his best to reorganise his work load to sort something out for us.

 

Later that evening the phone rang and it was Mark to say that he would be here at around 8 am the following day to start work on the new boiler installation. True to his word he arrived the following morning and began work. The boiler was in quite an awkward place to say the least but by mid-afternoon the following day we had heating and hot water again.

 

I cannot compliment Mark enough on his professionalism and the quality of his work. He treated our property with respect and fitted dust sheets over our carpets and left our property spotless when he left. Within two days we had gone from an old boiler (which we paid British Gas a monthly fee to maintain and the first time we needed them they came and said the boiler was obsolete, capped off the gas and left us in the lurch) to having a brand new boiler with an 8 year warranty.

 

In December 2014 I called Mark to arrange the annual boiler service and it was arranged as a last call to enable me not to lose any time from work. Mark arrived at the time arranged and the boiler was serviced without any fuss. We like the confidence of having a new boiler and a Heating and Plumbing Engineer who not only knows what he is talking about but operates a professional business which in my opinion can only grow and grow.

 

Myself I am from an electrical background and have worked with many different contractors in my years in the industry and I regard Mark Dawson as one of the best I have come across..."
